Prepare your children when they are small so when they reach youth hood they will give the advice of the Prophet its importance

Taken from Shaykh Abdur-Razzaaq al-Badr- Advices of the Salaf to the Youth
"It was reported in the mustadrak of al-Haakim on the authority of ibn Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) who said: “the Messenger of Allaah (may peace be upon him) said to a man while he was advising him:
“Take care of five (things) before five: ‘your youth before your old age, your health before your sickness, your richness before your poverty, your free time before or busyness and your life before your death”
The life of an individual is included in the stage of youth hood, therefore if is required of him to take care of his life before his death, then (know) from his life is the stage of his youth hood. More importantly the Prophet (may peace be upon him) specified the stage of youth hood by mentioning its great importance and the greatness of its affair and that it is considered a very important stage in the life of man which it is not befitting to be negligent.
It was reported in at-Tirmidhi from the narration of Ibn Mas’ud (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (may peace be upon him) said:
“The feet of the son of Adam will not move on the Day of Judgment from in front of his Lord until he is asked about five (things): about his life, and how he spent it? And about his youth, what did he consume it in? And about his money, how did he earn it? And what did he spend it on? And how much did he act upon what he knew”
Therefore take notice that an individual will be asked two questions on the Day of Judgment about his life.
One: He will be asked about his life in general, about the beginning of his life to the end of it.
Two: He will be asked about the stage of his youth hood specifically.
Also when he is asked about his life (in general) the years of his youth hood enters into this, but he will be asked specifically on the Day of Judgment about the stage of his youth and what he did with it. For this reason it is befitting for the youth that he truly pays attention to the importance of this stage and that he always remember that his Lord the most High is going to question him on the Day of Judgment regarding what he did during this stage (of his life). In addition to the question regarding what he did during his life, is (also) with what he did during that stage of youth hood. Why is it that he will be questioned about this specifically? This is because it is the stage of strength, energy and the ability to easily move about. It is the stage of the strength of the limbs and completeness of the senses. Therefore he will be questioned about this specifically."
